The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many fans into the NFL
This outcome could have created opportunities for the Patriots to creep back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 competitors
Meanwhile in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to set up a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the MVP award
The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?
Was it just an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or something more? This remains the question for the Bills to answer
The Bills had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening result - and display
MVP Josh Allen only got the team's initial first down in the third period and initial scoring in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the league's top offences
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two scores but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns
Containing the NFL's top rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and teammates registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the year and just over half their 161.5-yard average
Then there were the three crucial ball losses, and the two from Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to seven points just later
It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defense and Allen trying to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the composed, controlled, well-balanced Bills we've witnessed this year
Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the top of the American Football Conference East
In Focus - Patriots See Path to Unexpected First Place
Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three 8-2 squads in the NFL, all American Football Conference teams, but are they the top team?
You can pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with only five of their total 24 victories coming against teams with a positive record - and one example was the Indianapolis beating the Broncos
Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's victory in Tampa Bay to their primtime success in Orchard Park seems like a statement
Their pair of losses came in new head coach Vrabel's first three games, with seven straight wins, just like Denver, since then - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was huge
Drake Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he definitely earns point for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his team to victory
The defensive unit is reliable and first-year rusher TreVeyon Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth different ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown
Although you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the best record due to their schedule - which features just one game against a winning team, although a huge one against Buffalo
Traveling to Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to face two times, the Chargers (who might also compete for top seed but encounter the same problem) and also the Packers on the schedule
The Indianapolis also play the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two games with the five and four Jaguars to face. There is a long way to go but the door is available for a shock number one position in the AFC
Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Clash
Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different 8-2 teams are National Football Conference West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both scored 40 burgers to go to seven and two ahead of the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA
They've both won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing fewer than twenty points a game
Each could realistically be undefeated as well - especially the Rams as their pair of losses came in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a score
The Seahawks were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before falling to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely among the top teams in the league
The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the season to date
Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor could be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and contributing an additional forty-two {receiving yards
