Football Expert Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but can the English top division leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a range of special visitors.
For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
Murs' new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Life
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously that team's manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.
A family member advised me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.
However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's home form, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

This is a tough one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
