The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Car Crash
Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure died after his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
